Lean Hogs Higher

Wednesday's USDA Hog slaughter was 425,000 head versus a year ago at 367,000 head.

Lean hog futures traded higher on Wednesday. Trading was firm near the end of the session. July Hogs were trading at 78.07, up 0.92 and August hogs were trading at 76.55, up 1.00. October Hogs were trading up 1.22 at 66.77 and December Hogs were trading at 64.00, up 1.20.
